Breaking – Huge manhunt in France after two prison officers killed in van attack

At least two French prison officers have been killed in an ambush on a prison van near Rouen in Normandy, France

A police source tells French media the prisoner being transported has escaped.

French justice minister Eric Dupond-Moretti says two officers died, with three seriously injured.

Several hundred police officers and gendarmes are involved in the manhunt.

French President Emmanuel Macron says “everything is being done to find the perpetrators of this crime”.
