For any lazy girls out there, your luck is finally in.
Gone are the days of immaculate curls and sleek hairstyles, because bedhead hair is back.
You can scream hallelujah and throw your dry texture spray in the air with joy.
Perfection is no longer the trend du jour. It’s all about lived-in, cool girl chic.
Think Kate Moss and Alexa Chung with their loose tousled locks which never look overdone.
As it says in the name, it’s all about looking as if you just rolled out of the bed and got on with your day.
However, like any hairstyle there is some work involved – but don’t worry, it’s minimal.

So how do you achieve the seemingly effortless look?
Live True London’s expert stylist Tyler Moore says that bedhead is trending as people move more and more away from high maintenance hair.
‘Bedhead hair is that classic worn in look – think second day blow dries and slept in curls,’ Tyler tells Metro.co.uk
‘This look has been trending again this year as a result of the more natural and low maintenance attitude towards hair care.
‘We’ve been seeing more cuts and colours that require little styling effort and look great with natural texture. Think bobs or wolf cuts combined with natural balayage colours.’
As mentioned previously, there is some effort involved in the creation of bedhead tresses.

But because of its breezy appearance, you can get three to four days out of the style.
‘Like most things hair and beauty, it actually takes a few steps to look natural and low effort, but luckily in this case it’s not too many,’ Tyler explains.
‘To start we recommend styling your hair or getting a blow dry in your preferred style, and be sure to use styling sprays.
‘Then on day two and three, you can lightly refresh with some dry shampoo and a little heat styling if necessary. Be sure to use the right brush. We like to refresh curled styles with a wide-toothed comb to ensure the curls keep their shape. We also recommend using satin or silk pillowcases to maintain styles.
‘Alternatively you can use a little pomade or salt spray in your natural hair and emphasise your natural texture – this works especially well if you have a bob hair cut.’

Finally, products are key in creating and maintaining the look.
‘If styling your hair first, we recommend styling sprays such as FUL Styling Spray or Redken One United to banish frizz, add shine and softness as well as invisible hold,’ Tyler advises.
‘And if you’re looking for something quick and on the go, we recommend a little pomade such as Techni Art Density Material or salt spray such as Techni Art Beach Waves to add some texture.’
