Diane Abbott has Labour whip suspended after ‘hateful antisemitic’ remarks Sky News says Labour MP Diane Abbott has had the whip suspended following remarks in which she suggested Jewish people do not face racism, but instead suffer prejudice similar to “redheads”. Australia buying more missiles to counter China, according to the country’s major defence review Australia is accelerating its efforts to purchase longer-range missiles to counter China’s growing threat, according to the country’s major defence review.
