Attack at West Bank-Jordan border, 3 dead
Three people have been killed in an attack at the border between Jordan and the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli officials. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the victims were Israeli civilians shot at the Allenby Bridge crossing.
The attacker arrived from the Jordanian side in a truck, exited the vehicle, and began shooting. Security forces “neutralised” the gunman, and the IDF is currently inspecting the truck for potential explosives.
Medics identified the victims as men in their 50s, based on Israeli media reports. Jordan has closed its side of the border and is investigating the incident, which occurred in an Israeli-controlled area where Jordanian vehicles deliver goods to the West Bank.
