The US administration has continued to wow allies with extremely fascist policies. This evening an AP reporter barred from White House for refusing to use gulf of America instead of Gulf of Mexico.
The Trump 2024 agenda has now moved on to its next phase, silence and crush any opposition in a very mafia-like move. What was shocking was the White House press core did not object to the removal.
Violation of press freedom

The Associated Press said Tuesday that the White House barred its reporter from an event with USA President Donald Trump after the news agency refused to adopt his executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America.”
The AP condemned the move as a violation of press freedom, while the White House Correspondents’ Association called it “unacceptable.”
AP reporter barred from White House
“We were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office,” AP Executive Editor Julie Pace said.
“This afternoon AP’s reporter was blocked from attending an executive order signing,” Pace said in a statement.
In the past the body of water, which also borders Mexico, has always been known by both governments as the Gulf of Mexico.
Trump called it an “indelible part of America” critical to US oil production and fishing and “a favourite destination for American tourism and recreation activities.”
Pace, in her statement, said “it is alarming that the Trump administration would punish AP for its independent journalism.”

Google Maps has changed the name
Google Maps has changed the Gulf of Mexico’s name to the Gulf of America for people using the app in the US.
Explaining the move, external, Google said it was making the change as part of “a longstanding practice” of following name changes when updated by official government sources.
It said the Gulf – which is bordered by the US, Cuba and Mexico – would not be changed for people using the app in Mexico, and users elsewhere in the world will see the label: “Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)”.
Refusal to use Gulf of America will become criminal
It comes after President Donald Trump ordered the body of water to be renamed in US government documents after he returned to office last month.
Mexico had decried the move, arguing that the US had no legal right to change the Gulf’s name.
The US had no legal right to change the Gulf’s name
Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum had asked Google to reconsider its decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico.
She argued the US could not legally change the Gulf’s name because the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea dictates that an individual country’s sovereign territory only extends up to 12 nautical miles out from the coastline.
The Associated Press, a global media organisation, said that it would not change the name of the Gulf of Mexico in its style guide – which is used by most US media outlets.
Because of the style guide decision, the White House said it was barring an AP reporter from covering an executive order signing in the Oval Office.
Today the US has taken over the Gulf of Mexico, tomorrow it could easily be Greenland and Canada. It seems the law does not apply to them as the US had no legal right to change the Gulf’s name, but it did not stop them.
