Nobody does sales like Amazon.
The gigantic, monolithic retailer has its own sales bonanza in the form of Prime Day, but that doesn’t mean it’s passing up the Black Friday madness.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
If you’re going anywhere near the Amazon.co.uk homepage today you’ll notice a flood of deals on every item under the sun.
However, some of the best reductions can be found on Amazon’s own brand of tech gadgets. Products like e-readers, smart speakers and TV sticks get the best price cuts.
We’ve rounded up the best ones below. All prices were correct at the time of writing but bear in mind they can change quickly. So if you spot one that fits the bill, move quickly before the price jumps up again.
Echo Dot (3rd generation) – £17

If you’re looking for the most affordable way to get a smart speaker into another room of your house, this is it.
The third generation Echo Dot has been given a whopping 58 per cent discount bringing it down to under £20 for Black Friday. And it may be small, but this Alexa-enabled speaker is a handy little gadget.
It’ll play music, audiobooks or podcasts from the Amazon Music app and can quickly serve up facts, jokes or the weather. You can ask it to set a timer or an alarm or if you’re really tech-savvy, use it to control smart home devices elsewhere in the house.
And, with this kind of a reduction, it’s not really surprising its Amazon’s ‘most popular’ smart speaker.

Kindle Paperwhite – £105

Amazon’s Kindle is pretty much the de facto leader when it comes to e-readers and the company has perfected the device over many generations.
It also helps that it’s backed with a gigantic online store of digital books.
Most of the Kindle range has been discounted for Black Friday 2022 but this is our pick for the best one. The Paperwhite offers all you need from a Kindle, including a backlight and 8GB of storage space.
But we’d also suggest going with the slightly more expensive version because it doesn’t include pesky adverts side-loaded into the experience.
With the 25 per cent discount added, this model has been brought down from £139.99 to a reasonable £104.99 instead.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K – £28

If you’re already an Amazon Prime member, you’ll probably have been enjoying the likes of Rings of Power or Clarkson’s Farm. So investing in one of the company’s Fire TV Stick dongles makes a lot of sense.
Plugging into the HDMI slot of any regular TV, it opens up all the usual smarts you’ll need to get into Amazon (and other services’) content. The bundled remote has Alexa built-in so you can ask it to find you stuff or alter playback if necessary.
What’s more, if your TV is up to it, this streaming stick supports the latest in visual fidelity. It’ll handle 4K ultra HD content as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
All that for under thirty quid thanks to this Black Friday deal knocking £22 off the price.

Amazon Echo Buds (2nd generation) – £60

Amazon’s in-ear Bluetooth headphones may not have the same cachet as Apple’s ubiquitus AirPods, but they’ve got a lot going for them.
Not least, the fact they’re much cheaper thanks to Black Friday. Amazon has knocked £50 off the £109.99 top-line price to make them an absolute steal.
Like the AirPods, they’ve got active noise cancellation on board, meaning the headphones work to block out surrounding noise to make your music, podcast or audiobook more immersive.
Amazon quotes up to 5 hours’ music playback per charge and up to 15 hours with the charging case. A quick 15-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of music and, of course, they work with Alexa.

Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet productivity bundle – £150

Amazon’s tablets aren’t up to the same standard of Apple’s iPad range, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth checking out.
If you need a cheap device for handling the basic work tasks like attending to emails, drafting copy or running through spreadsheets and presentations then this deal is for you.
Amazon has bundled its Fire HD 10 tablet along with a Bluetooth keyboard and, crucially, a 12-month personal subscription to Microsoft’s Office 365 software suite.
The cheaper model comes with 32GB of on-board storage, which isn’t much to be fair. There’s a Black Friday reduction on the 64GB version as well if you feel you need more storage. But for ultimate affordability, this is the one to go for.
