‘Allo ‘Allo! actress Vicki Michelle is reportedly set to join EastEnders.
She’ll be heading into Albert Square in upcoming episodes this spring, and is said to start filming later this month.
The 72-year-old actress played Yvette Carte-Blanche in 1980s sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo! where she starred alongside the likes of Gorden Kaye and Carmen Silvera.
But after stints on Emmerdale as well as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Vicky is now reportedly heading onto the BBC One soap.
A source said: ‘Bosses are keeping tight-lipped on her role, but she will definitely stir up some drama.’
The insider continued to The Sun: ‘Producers know she’s a talented actress and will go down a storm with fans.’
While her role has yet to be announced, it has been reported that Vicki will star in two episodes.
The reports come after a new trailer has dropped for EastEnders anniversary, which teased intriguing hints at big events ahead, that will shake up the lives and upend the worlds of key characters.
The styled video starts us off with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) looking deeply stressed behind the bar.
‘There is a moment just before you do something…’ she is heard saying, before the shot spins to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in the food van, adding: ‘When time freezes.’
As the trailer draws to a close, many questions are unanswered as a BBC continuity announcer declares: ‘In a flash, everything changes.’
It’s clear that EastEnders is planning something significant, but what trouble could be brewing?
