Rescuers search for survivors after hotel collapse in Argentina
Rescue teams in Villa Gesell, Argentina, are urgently working to find survivors after the 10-story Dubrovnik hotel collapsed, leaving one confirmed dead and potentially trapping up to 15 people.
The collapse happened early Tuesday, with neighbours describing it as a “horror movie.” So far, one elderly man’s body has been recovered, and one woman has been rescued.
The hotel was undergoing unauthorised renovations, halted by authorities in August, but neighbours report work continued.
Two specialised rescue teams, including structural engineers and trained dogs, have joined the search. Four bricklayers working at the site escaped and are now in police custody.
