John Cena loves teasing the fans (Picture: WWE)
John Cena and Logan Paul have teased the idea of a huge WWE match at this year’s WrestleMania.
The controversial YouTuber has made it clear he would love to take on the 16-time world champion when the Show of Shows goes Hollywood in April, and now the wrestler turned actor is having some fun with the rumours.
Cena is known for posting cryptic – and sometimes meaningless – pictures on Instagram, and never shares any context, but he’s prompted plenty of speculation this week.
On Wednesday, he simply shared a picture of brothers Logan and Jake Paul, with fans wondering if he could be hinting at his WrestleMania plans.
His potential opponent certainly took notice, sharing the post on his Instagram Story and teasing that he ‘sees’ the 45-year-old star.
Logan, who lost to Roman Reigns in a huge world championship bout at Crown Jewel, signed a deal with the wrestling giant last year and has impressed in his three matches so far, and he previously admitted he’s eyeing up another big money clash.
Speaking on his own ImPaulsive podcast, he said: ‘After the Crown Jewel event, John Cena posted about me on his Instagram. And then I saw an article saying he’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania.
‘I favourited it, responded with “the eyes [emoji]”. I mean, truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet.’
Logan. who suffered an injury during his Crown Jewel match, revealed he’s even pitched the idea direct to WWE boss Triple H, although he didn’t go into his response.
However, another option for Cena is a clash with rising star Austin Theory, with the pair going back and forth in interviews over the past few months.
Fans will be excited by the prospect of the legend in a major singles match at WrestleMania, particularly after his in-ring return at the end of 2022 when he teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns.
