It appears that Baby Yoda is learning to control the force in season 3 of The Mandalorian after the trailer for the upcoming adventure was released.
There’s been a long wait for fans to see what happens next in the beloved Star Wars spin-off series after the last season aired all the way back in 2020.
While the second instalment of the space western ended with Luke Skywalker coming to take Grogu away to train as a Jedi, he was eventually reunited with The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) in the second season of The Book of Boba Fett.
Now, with father and son back together, the pair are set to journey to Din Djarin’s ancient home of Mandalore.
The new trailer, released on Monday, sees them cross paths with old allies and making new enemies, amid high-octane starship battles.
It begins with a voice-over of The Mandalorian saying: ‘Our people are scattered like stars in the galaxy.’

‘What are we? What do we stand for?’ he adds.
‘Being a Mandalorian’s not just learning about how to fight. You also have to know how to navigate the galaxy. That way, you’ll never be lost.’
Seeking redemption for past transgressions, Din Djarin returns home, however, he is warned by Captain Carson Teva: ‘There’s something dangerous happening out there, and by the time it becomes big enough for you to act, it will be too late.’

While we’ve seen other Mandalorian in past seasons, it looks like there will be a whole army of them this time around.
But without a doubt, the most exciting development is the fact that Grogu can use the force.

In the final seconds of the trailer Baby Yoda seems to be cornered by a bounty hunter in a cave but manages to blast them back with his hands.
With Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Amy Sedaris (Peli Motto), and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) confirmed to return to their roles, it is also understood season three will pick up immediately after the other Star Wars spin-off The Book of Boba Fett.
The Mandalorian season 3 is streaming from March 1 on Disney Plus.
