We have to disagree, Maya Jama is not a crust (Picture: Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock)
Maya Jama is trying to trick us all into believing she’s a ‘crust’ as she addressed her glam Instagram photos.
The presenter, who is gearing up to take the reins of Love Island for its upcoming winter series, shared a caveat for those who are following her on social media.
According to the 28-year-old host: judge her by her Stories and not her main feed.
She said in a video on Wednesday: ‘I feel like my Instagram doesn’t reflect me unless you watch my Stories.
‘My main feed is super glam and [poses] when actually I’m a crust nine times out of 10 if I don’t have my hair and makeup team.’
Maya, who was engaged to basketballer Ben Simmons last year, added a bit of a resolution for 2023: ‘Maybe this year I’ll start posting more of that side. I thought, if I looked on my page and I didn’t know me I’d think…posey t**t, but actually…’
For those playing at home, last week Maya shared a stunning bikini pic, captioning the shot: ‘Y’all won.’
It’s the vibe we’re all about and we say, Maya, you be that ‘posey t**t’ if you want to be!
The star then went on to quiz her followers on how she should style her hair for the first ep of Love Island, with the ninth season of the show set to introduce a new group of Islanders hoping to not only find a connection but potentially take home the £50,000 prize.
Earlier this week the first look trailer was released with new host Maya, and it promises plenty in store for audiences from its South Africa base.

While we still don’t know who the new contestants will be, ITV has teased that it’s nearly time to get invested in another season of what is sure to have plenty of ups and downs.
In the trailer, Maya – who has taken over from Laura Whitmore – is seen on a velvet bejewelled bucking bronco as she tells viewers: ‘It’s time to grab love by the horns. I am ready, are you?’
Sharing the trailer on Twitter, ITV wrote that ‘it’s about to get hotter up in 2023’.
Announcing the exciting news of her new role, Maya said in a statement at the time: ‘I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the Villa to meet all of the Islanders.’
