Paddy McGuinness has laid waste to plastic surgery rumours in the most Paddy McGuinness way possible.
Addressing his fans in a new video, the comedian looked pretty much unrecognisable as he shut down the speculation.
‘I’ve come on here today to address the absolutely scurrilous and unfounded rumours that I’ve had a bit of work done over Christmas,’ he announced.
While doting dad Paddy certainly looked different, it wasn’t down to any sort of surgery, but rather a hilarious Instagram filter.
Looking cartoonish with the effect applied, Paddy, 49, continued: ‘Now, yes – I have been to Turkey for a long weekend but absolutely no truth in that I’ve had a bit of work done.
‘This is just a tan and I’ve had a couple of cans of that prime.’
Sitting in his car, Paddy signed his social media video off by saying: ‘Have a lovely weekend. And also, there’s a lot of fake accounts going round of mine but unless it’s this guy, it’s not the real deal.’

It comes after Paddy spent Christmas Day with his ex Christine McGuinness and their kids.
Chatting about her Christmas plans to OK! Ahead of the big day, Christine said they’d reunite to celebrate because ‘that’s what the children are used to’.

She added: ‘We don’t know what the future holds or how it’s going to be moving forward, but we’ll try to keep things as normal as possible.
‘I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine.
‘I would never let the children be aware of anything other than us being happy and alright, because they’re so young and innocent.’

However, Christine did admit that the couple’s children, Penelope and Leo, both nine, and Felicity, six, don’t know their parents are no longer a couple.
The mum-of-three explained: ‘No [they don’t know we’ve split] they’re so young. I’m trying to just stick to their normal routine – take them to school in the morning, pick them up, try to work while they’re at school and take them to after-school clubs and just try to stick to normal life as much as possible.’
