Jeremy Renner has lost a ‘serious amount of blood’ in a horrific snow plowing accident, it has been claimed.
The Marvel actor, 54, was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after the terrifying incident, and is said to be in a ‘critical but stable’ condition.
According to reports, he was ploughing the road near his Tahoe home after a heavy snow fall, so that his family could leave the property.
A neighbor told TMZ that the machine accidentally ran over one of his legs, leading to serious blood loss.
A quick-thinking local is thought to have applied a tourniquet until the paramedics arrived on the scene and took him to safety.
Video footage obtained by the outlet showed the helicopter taking off to get the star urgent medical attention.

Police reportedly arrived in the evening to impound the plow.
Jeremy’s reps shared a statement with Metro.co.uk, confirming that he is being looked after by doctors.
‘We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while ploughing snow earlier today,’ it read.
‘His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.’
It was previously reported that Jeremy has a home near Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe, which saw a winter storm hit on New Year’s Eve.
Local press reported 35,000 homes near the area were without power due to the weather.
The Hawkeye favorite recently spoke of the cold conditions at his ranch, tweeting in December: ‘Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke.’
Following his accident, fans shared their concern on social media, flooding his posts with their well wishes.

Another added: ‘You are a strong and good man, I wish you a speedy recovery.’
