Hit-maker Sara Bareilles revealed the happy news on New Year’s Day that her partner Joe Tippett had popped the question.
Excitedly declaring that she’d said ‘yes’, Sara showed off her unique, all-gold engagement ring on Instagram.
The soon-to-be-married couple gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes in the romantic snap, beneath which Sara, 43, penned a sweet caption.
Love Song singer Sara wrote: ‘Yes to marrying this man. It’s an easy, earned, relaxed YES. @joetipps you are exactly who I want.
‘The more I know you the more I know I love you…and you have introduced me to parts of myself I was afraid to love. And now I love ME more because of you. So really this is all about me. Just kidding.
‘What a gift you are. Let the games begin. Onward into absolutely everything with you. [heart emoji].’
Sara and Mare of Easttown star Joe, 40, met back in 2015 and went public with their romance at the 2017 Tony Awards.
The couple celebrated their seven-year anniversary a few months ago and Sara marked the occasion on social media.
She wrote at the time: ‘The world that is burning has somehow brought me someone like @joetipps who I am constantly in awe of and inspired by and challenged by and infuriated by and loved by in a way I can’t even describe except I know it is Truth with a capital T.’

Meanwhile, when Sara celebrated her birthday in December, Joe called her the ‘sunshine in [his] eyes’, posting: ‘Happy Birthday to the sunshine in my eyes. The star at the center of my solar system. My lighthouse in a storm. The laugh that melts away my cynicism.’
Congratulations quickly piled up beneath Sara’s engagement post, with Mandy Moore writing: ‘Congrats!!!’
Author Glennon Doyle added: ‘oh. this makes me happy. beautiful perfect beloved sara. how wonderful,’ while Josh Groban said: ‘Congratulations!!!’ and Busy Philipps left a string of celebratory emojis.
