Harvey Weinstein found guilty in second sex crimes trial
Disgraced Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty by a Los Angeles jury of raping a woman.
The trial – which was two months long – heard how Weinstein used his power and influence to lure women into private meetings before attacking them.
Weinstein, 70, is facing up to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced.
He is already serving 23 years in jail after he was found guilty at the first trial in New York. He was convicted of rape and sexual assault in the first trial two years ago.
Harvey Weinstein guilty in LA
On Monday the Oscar winner was found guilty of rape and two sexual assault charges involving an accuser, known as Jane Doe 1.
But the jury could not reach verdicts on allegations by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom, and a woman known as Jane Doe 2. A mistrial was declared on those counts.
He was also acquitted of sexual battery against an accuser known as Jane Doe 3.
The verdict focused on allegations stemming from 2005-13.
Weinstein, co-founder of Miramax – wore a grey suit and looked pale in the LA court.
