WWE fans are hoping for another surprise comeback for ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin after seeing the ridiculous shape the Hall of Famer is in.
The former world champion made a sensational return to the ring back in April when he beat Kevin Owens in the night one main event at WrestleMania 38, and he’s still putting in the work in the gym.
In a video first shared on his Instagram Story, the Texas Rattlesnake shows off his ripped physique as he puts himself through an intense cardio workout.
Fans have been flooding Twitter with suggestions for potential opponents of Stone Cold does decide to lace up his boots, which might not be totally out of the question after how great he looked in Dallas earlier this year.
John Cena, Seth Rollins and even recent AEW World Champion CM Punk have all been mentioned among many others, while some fans are hoping for a different kind of comeback.
‘Surprise Rumble appearance would be one of the biggest pops of all-time,’ noted one Twitter user, throwing out the idea of seeing Stone Cold back in the Royal Rumble for the first time since January 2002.
Appearing on the Brewbound Podcast shortly after his WrestleMania return, Stone Cold gave an update on his physical status after the No Holds Barred match, which saw him take a suplex onto concrete during a thrilling brawl.
‘Oh, I’m 100%. I picked up a little bit of a cold the other day but I’m back home in Nevada. Shoot, [on the Saturday], I was 100% and of course went back in action on Sunday, did a little extra physicality as a part of the show,’ he teased.
‘But, you know, it’s just an exciting time for me to back to a business that I really, really love and you know, I never thought I’d be back in a ring but, there we were headlining, main event for the — headlining WrestleMania for night one and it was just truly an honor to be out there.’

He also suggested at the time that if WWE called, he would ‘be there’.
Austin’s opponent Owens re-signed with WWE towards the end of 2021, and while he didn’t know where he’d be a few months later, he was glad to see his WrestleMania moment turn out to be so special.
‘One thing’s unrelated to another – or it terms of me signing anyway,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk the day before their match, while he admitted he had a very blunt reaction when then-boss Vince McMahon told him the news.
‘My reaction was quiet jubilation because I was in Vince’s office, but I may have said a few swear words to him – positively,’ he laughed. ‘It was really surreal.’
WWE Raw (Mondays) and SmackDown (Fridays) air weekly at 1am on BT Sport 1.
