Gemma Collins has revealed she was left doubled over in agony thinking she was about to give birth to a surprise baby after suffering a medical emergency.
The former Towie star, 41, opened up on the terrifying ordeal in the latest episode of The Gemma Collins Podcast, revealing she managed to get herself to the doctors while in excruciating pain rather than calling an ambulance.
She explained that the pain was so bad she almost thought she was in labour, telling her listeners: ‘It has been one hell of a week.
‘Ut started out on Monday morning, trying to chill out and catch up on emails, etc, etc. All of a sudden I’m crippled over in pain thinking, “OMG, I’m about to give birth to a baby that I don’t know I’m having.”’
Gemma added: ‘I called the doctor and managed to get down to the doctors. I thought about calling an ambulance but I was like, maybe not, just check it out first.
‘So I was being told that I was basically, more or less, passing a kidney stone. So that was the start to my week, nothing is ever calm in GC World.

‘Monday started off with passing a kidney stone, Tuesday was a little bit more of a calmer day but again, there’s always something going on, life throws you curveballs sometimes.’
Revealing how she managed to help herself get through the kidney stone ordeal, Gemma added: ‘The morning started out bad, I ended up getting the medication, drinking loads of cranberry juice, guzzling loads of water and tried to pass the kidney stone.
‘As you can imagine, it was painful, but the good news is in the evening me and my friend got a Chinese takeaway to cheer ourselves up. She was fine but she just had to listen to me going “Arghh, arghhh!” all day, but we made it fun.’

Gemma has been open with her fans on her new podcast, admitting recently that she was feeling the pinch of the cost of living crisis as much as anyone.
She told her followers she had become a stickler for saving energy in her £1.3million Essex mansion, explaining: ‘The cost of living crisis, yes I have the news on, I try not to but I said I’m going to spend October and November trying to make sensible cutbacks because if you look after the pennies they look after you.
‘I have done something with every meal time, I go into my cupboards and make some serious cutbacks like everyone else.
‘It is scary, mortgages are going up, electric’s going up. I’m telling everyone not to put the heating on in my house.
‘I’m making sure every lights are off, I normally have every TV switched on in the room – not necessarily watching something, but I’d have TV on in one room, music on in the other, but I’ve really been mindful to cut back on all of that.’
