Tottenham forward Harry Kane couldn’t resist a sly dig at Marseille fans after his side dramatically booked their spot in the Champions League knockout stages.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg’s injury time winner helped Spurs come from behind to beat the French side 2-1, meaning Antonio Conte’s side progress as group winners.
At one stage of the night, Tottenham were set to enter the Europa League with Sporting Lisbon topping the group.
The build-up to the game had been eventful to say the least, with Marseille fans setting off fireworks outside Spurs’ team hotel at a series of points throughout the night.
The stadium was fever-pitch hours before kick-off and Spurs were well below-par in the first half as the Ligue 1 side took the lead just before half-time.
But Spurs fought back and found an equaliser through Clement Lenglet before their late winner.
‘Full time fireworks,’ wrote Kane, who accompanied the caption with a photo of Spurs’ celebrations in the away dressing room.
Spurs’ win means they’ll avoid other group winners in the last-16, such as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
