Chris Moyles teased his Radio X team about heading to the I’m A Celebrity jungle with a guessing game.
The former Radio 1 DJ told his co-stars he had a special announcement to make live on air, asking them if they wanted to be told outright or to play a game first.
Opting for the latter, the 48-year-old’s producers then started firing out theories about the broadcaster’s big revelation, with one believing he had asked to be a judge on a talent show.
When asked if it was ‘happy news’ for himself and others, Chris leaned back in his chair and replied: ‘Now… It’s hard to do this without jokes. Yeah. Some people will be delighted. You’ll be over the moon.’
Cutting to the chase, while newsreader Dom Byrne confessed he was ‘nervous’ with ‘sweaty palms’, Chris started giggling.
‘Alright, here’s the news,’ Chris began, ‘On my life, I swear to God’ before playing the iconic theme tune to the long-running ITV reality programme.
In utter disbelief, his team said ‘no’, with one asking: ‘Are you actually?’ to which a sheepish Chris responds: ‘Yeah.’

Chris then hinted that a person he wanted to discuss ‘off-air’ was also going into the jungle to the astonishment of his co-workers. We wonder who that could be?
The broadcaster said he hadn’t told his parents or his best friends as he kept being a campmate a strict secret.

Speaking about how he felt before heading to Australia, he said he was ‘petrified’ about the prospects of doing a Bushtucker Trial.
Chris will be camping alongside the likes of disgraced former health secretary Matt Hancock, singer Boy George and Love Island star Olivia Attwood.

Naturally, the politician’s decision to join I’m A Celeb has caused quite a stir, with the Tory Party suspending him.
Meanwhile, prime minister Rishi Sunak has said he’s ‘unlikely’ to tune into the show, with his spokesperson adding: ‘The PM believes that at a challenging time for the country MPs should be working hard for their constituents, whether that is in the House or in their constituency.’
