FLEABAG STAR PLANS HER FIRST FILM AS A DIRECTOR
BBC News says Phoebe Waller-Bridge, writer and star of the hit show Fleabag has come up with the “vision” of her next original piece. She plans to write and direct the film – earning her first directing credit.
“The day I wrapped Fleabag, I went to bed thinking, ‘I’m never going to have another idea again’,” the actress and writer told THR. The Bafta-winning star said she wants a meaningful cinema release. Seemingly, ruling out collaborations with online streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

STORMZY SAYS HE’LL FUND TWO MORE CAMBRIDGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MINORITY BACKGROUND STUDENTS
Reported by several News outlets today headlines that British rapper Stormzy has promised to pay the tuition fees for two minority students at the prestigious Cambridge University. He started the Stormzy Scholarship last year in an effort to raise the low numbers of black students at Oxbridge.
The funding covers tuition fees and maintenance grants for the duration of their course. The scholarship is currently only available at Cambridge and not Oxford. Stormzy said that Oxford ‘didn’t want to get involved.’
The thing we love about Stormzy is he genuine and is finding ways to give back to the British community and this latest initiative for Stormzy scholarship is one example of how the British rapper is socially responsible.

MATT HEALY PROTESTS AGAINST DUBAI’S ANTI-GAY LAWS WITH A KISS FOR A FAN
The Independent reports Matt Healy has defied Dubai’s anti-LGBT laws by kissing a male audience member at a gig in the emirate. He hugged the man before asking him if he wanted a kiss. Loud cheers erupted as the singer then kissed the fan. When he got back on stage, Healy said: “We’re all human right?”. Homosexuality is illegal in Dubai and kissing a man can reportedly carry a 10-year sentence.

Sky News features the news Harry Styles has turned down the role of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. The popstar was in talks to take the lead in Disney’s live-action remake but in the end, turned down the role. Fans have been left devastated after multiple news outlets had confirmed the casting just a day before the news broke. Styles made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk in 2017.
