BREXIT: HAMMOND DEMANDS ‘GENUINE’ NEGOTIATIONS WITH EU
BBC News reports, Philip Hammond has said the government must commit to genuine negotiations with the EU. He added a no-deal Brexit would break up the UK and be a “betrayal of the 2016 referendum.”
“There is no popular mandate for a No Deal Brexit; and no Parliamentary mandate for a No Deal Brexit,” He said in his article.
Hammond said it was a “myth that a no-deal exit will be painless.” Adding “Most people in this country want to see us leave in a smooth and orderly fashion that will not disrupt lives, cost jobs or diminish living standards, whether they voted Leave or Remain in 2016.”

RESCUERS MAY HAVE MISSED NORA’S BODY DURING THE FIRST SEARCH OF THE AREA
The Mirror reports, the body of missing London teen Nora Quoirin was found 10 days after she went missing. She was found naked in a jungle ravine by hikers in an area that had previously been searched. There have been hundreds of search-and-rescue experts, volunteers, a helicopter and drones with thermal-imaging searching for Nora.
The latest development raises questions as to why she was not spotted before and a family spokesman said Nora’s parents have “a large amount of questions.” He added: “One of those questions is, has the body been there all the time or is there a criminal involvement? Was the body dumped there afterwards?”
The group that found Nora said the terrain was “hilly and difficult” and over an hour to get to. Police have not ruled out foul play.

Hundreds of thousands of protestors are set to descend on London on Saturday 19 October for the ‘Let Us Be Heard’ event. Labour MP David Lammy said: “We’re changing the date because we’re determined to change the course of history. This is a march for our future, our country and our democracy.”
The PM has promised a “do or die” Brexit on October 31 with or without a deal. It now seems likely the UK will leave without a deal.
