US President-elect Joe Biden has made an impassioned TV address, calling the violent protest at Capitol Hill by Trump supporters as “an assault on democracy…like few times we’ve ever seen it.”

President Donald Trump has told supporters he will “never concede” the 2020 US election but urged his supporters to go home and stop hurting the democratic process.
The scenes from the Capitol are utterly horrifying. Solidarity with those in 🇺🇸 on the side of democracy and the peaceful and constitutional transfer of power. Shame on those who have incited this attack on democracy.
In a flurry of Twitter activity, Americans have been calling for President Donald Trump and Ivanka to be impeached for the actions that have taken place in Capitol Hill. Earlier Ivanka Tweeted and called the protestors ‘American Patriots’ and has since vanished from Twitter.
Impeachment is the preferable route to the 25th because: (a) it forces every Member of Congress to vote on the record and (b) it can bar Trump from ever holding office again. It can be done quickly if Rs join Ds as they unanimously should.
But do either. He must be removed.
Social media companies have also removed the inciteful tweets from Ivanka and frozen President Trump’s account.
