Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he would prefer to be played by an unknown actor in his upcoming biopic rather than a famous star like Johnny Depp.

The Black Sabbath star, 73, will be the subject of an upcoming biopic charting his whirlwind relationship with his wife Sharon Osbourne.

The film will look at Ozzy’s life between 1979 and 1996, with the project having been confirmed to be in the works in 2020.

The official announcement came last October, when it was revealed Lee Hall, the writer behind Billy Elliott and Elton John’s Rocketman biopic, would be writing the script, while the couple’s eldest daughter Aimee prepared the treatment.

While there have been no casting announcements as yet, Ozzy revealed in a new interview that he would prefer the role to go to an unknown actor.

He told Consequence: ‘I don’t want to have anyone like Johnny Depp act as me. I rather have someone who is relatively unknown.’

The biopic won’t shy away from Ozzy’s past drug and alcohol addictions as well as the darker moments in his marriage to Sharon.

Ozzy admitted he doesn’t care about the darker sides of his life being shown on screen, adding: ‘I don’t give a s**t.

‘I mean, if it’s a success, great. As long as it’s not too slurpy and bulls**tty, you know?’

Sharon previously revealed that it will be a lot more ‘warts and all’ than Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody biopic, adding: ‘We don’t want it to be squeaky, shiny clean and all of that. We’re not making it for kids. It’s an adult movie for adults.’

As well as his biopic, Ozzy and Sharon are also set to document their move back to the UK from the US for a new reality series for the BBC.

The rock star admitted that he is not so keen to leave America, revealing: ‘To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.’

Amanda Holden was seen enjoying a friendly catch up with Myleene Klass this week after the pair bumped into each other in the street.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 51, was seen in Leicester Square on Thursday wearing an autumnal burgundy outfit.

She rocked a leather pencil skirt, button up cardigan and military-style coat, with a matching bag and heels all in the same dark red hue.

Amanda was seen smiling as she bumped into Myleene, 44, in the street before enjoying a quick chinwag.

Myleene looked laden down with a large mock-croc bag and hangers full of dry cleaning as she planted a kiss on Amanda’s cheek.

The musician and presenter was seen wearing a grey trouser-suit with flat shoes, and had her hair pulled back in a bun.

Amanda’s outing comes after her fellow BGT judge David Walliams came under fire after reports emerged that Walliams had called a Britain’s Got Talent contestant a ‘c**t’ in an audio recording picked up from his microphone on the judges’ panel.

It was also revealed that the comedian and author made derogatory remarks when referring to another person competing on the show, saying: ‘She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t,’ according to a leaked transcript seen by The Guardian.

Walliams later apologised for his offensive comments, saying in a statement: ‘I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.

‘These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.’

The comments were made in January 2020 during a taping of the show at the London Palladium.

Lawyers for the TV personality and Thames TV, the company that produces BGT, stated that Walliams was having a private conversation when the comments were made, rather than speaking with the expectation that his words would be aired.

A spokesperson for Cowell and Syco Entertainment, co-producer of Britain’s Got Talent, said: ‘We were unaware of the alleged conversation until contacted by the Guardian, and whilst it is not suggested Simon [Cowell] heard the alleged remarks, we can confirm he did not.

‘Britain’s Got Talent is a family show and we do not condone the use of any such language.’
