Get ready for a new week (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
This week we’re in a waxing moon phase and a Mercury retrograde, both of which are a signal to slow down, do less but do it more thoroughly, be mindful, be attentive.
Look at what’s on your plate and perhaps shift a few things off… ditch, delegate and delay that which isn’t urgent or important, or uniquely yours to manage.
Get help, get space, get wriggle room so you can manage your load more easily.
Let the tarot give you a nudge as to what could be ditched this week…
Aries
March 21 to April 20
Keep your cards close to your chest (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Aries for this week: Eight of Wands
Meaning: Communication is an area that you can be more focused, streamlined and efficient.
The Eight of Wands shows you spend an awful lot of time circling the same people, topics, and sites, scrolling and re-reading and overthinking.
Cut it out. Limit your screen time, don’t go back and forth on the same discussions, be clear and concise. Don’t open up new dialogues and negotiations this week. Keep it simple. Keep it limited to the need-to-know!

Taurus
April 21 to May 21
Avoid the drama this week (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Taurus for this week: Knight of Swords
Meaning: Withdraw from areas where you are in conflict, having to fight for your spot, or feeling like you’re the ‘common enemy’ in a group. You will know what I mean.
The Knight of Swords sees you being drained emotionally by being involved in stressful, interpersonal dramas that, truthfully, you could just step back from and lead an easier life!
Do yourself a favour. Withdraw from the strife. Take a load off. Chill.

Gemini
May 22 to June 21
Don’t let yourself be taken for granted, Gemini (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Gemini for this week: Knight of Cups
Meaning: You are not everyone else’s ‘social secretary’ and ‘party organiser’. Well, you are but you shouldn’t be, because other people need to arrange their own social life and organise stuff for others too. It’s not fair that it’s always landing on you, Gemini.
The Knight of Cups urges you to have a quiet week. Let your friends and family sort their own leisure time out. You just do what suits you, by yourself, in peace and harmony.

Cancer
June 22 to July 23
Let your true colours shine through (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Cancer for this week: Three of Coins
Meaning: Trying to impress others and showcase your best self is, frankly, tiring. You have been at it for a while (maybe at work, maybe in a family or friend circle situation, maybe even with a new beau). Gosh, you just want to take ‘the mask’ off and be yourself!
The Three of Coins acknowledges it’s tough to perform and that you should step back this week and just be who you are, without putting on the glam and the smile and the routine. Take a break.

Leo
July 24 to August 23
Rest is important (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Leo for this week: The Hermit
Meaning: There’s a solo project you’ve been working on really, really hard and you’re getting brain fog. You are, perhaps, so close to it all that you can’t see the wood for the trees. The Hermit shows you’re seeking enlightenment, so this could be your studies, administration, research, or professional advancement.
Take a break, Leo. Put the books away for a week and let your mind settle elsewhere. When you return, your lens will be clear and you will see, and absorb, it all much easier again. You just need a little re-set.

Virgo
August 24 to September 23
You don’t have to bear this burden alone (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Virgo for this week: Five of Coins
Meaning: You are carrying an emotionally heavy weight, it’s something from your past, an old wound, and you’ve been dragging back to the foreground to dwell on what was lost or broken.
Virgo, stop. There’s no need for this. The Five of Coins asks you to journal or talk about your experience, express it out loud, and get to a new perspective. There’s a life lesson here. Then put it down, process it, and look ahead.
Use this lesson to do something new or different in the future. You can grow, heal, and get past it.

Libra
September 24 to October 23
Stay grounded in the real world to avoid disappointment (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Libra for this week: Nine of Cups
Meaning: Stop wishing on a star that you know, deep down, isn’t granting you your dream. Come back to Earth. Engage with the reality of the situation. I know that sounds a little callous but it’s in your best interests, Libra.
The Nine of Cups asks you to get real, be pragmatic, deal with what’s going on and make the best of it. Wishing even harder that things were different won’t make them different and just inflates your expectations even further away from the truth.

Scorpio
October 24 to November 22
Try not to get too disheartened by setbacks (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Scorpio for this week: Ace of Coins
Meaning: You’ve been trying to research, activate or progress a long term goal related to your health, wealth, work, or home. It’s been tough and you’ve felt thwarted by circumstance. Scorpio, now is not the right time. You’re not in the right spot to be planting fertile seeds.
Let things move along. Let things unfold for a little longer before making this change. It will happen, the Ace of Coins promises this, but just not this week. Look again in a fortnight.

Sagittarius
November 23 to December 21
Mercury retrograde’s influence means decision-making is off kilter this week (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Sagittarius for this week: The Chariot
Meaning: You are planning a journey, holiday, extended trip, new vehicle purchase, or even house move. You are dead set on this course and full of purpose, but this is not the week to make any major decisions here. Carry on with your research and planning, but don’t commit, not this week.
The Chariot is a good omen that your move or journey will be rewarding and successful, but avoid making big choices about it this week, you could feel overwhelmed.

Capricorn
December 22 to January 21
Break free from negative energy (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Capricorn for this week: Eight of Cups
Meaning: This is a week to release and expel any and all disappointments you’ve been harbouring or suppressing or carrying on with (in the hope they will reverse and turn out successful).
The Eight of Cups is a promise that better opportunities (and people) lie ahead, but you need to clear out the dead wood and dead weight first.
So have a spring clean. Loosen and abandon the things clinging to you that don’t actually serve you well. Liberate yourself from what is not working.

Aquarius
January 22 to February 19
Time for some R&R (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Aquarius for this week: Ten of Wands
Meaning: Use this week as an intense phase of deep rest, relaxation, and reflection. As little action as possible, please!
The Ten of Wands is a fatigue card and warns against burnout and getting overwhelmed and over-burdened by what you’re taking on and signing up to. Just step back and take time to let things settle in. Stop piling more on top of an already shaky pile of commitments and engagements.
Take time out. You will see what’s important when you step back and that prioritisation is what will help you manage it all a lot better.

Pisces
February 20 to March 20
You need time to yourself if you want to give your best to others (Picture: Getty/Metro.co.uk)
Tarot card for Pisces for this week: The Hierophant
Meaning: This is not the week to go all out on your group commitments, activist ideals, or contributions to community or good causes. You do plenty of do-gooding, Pisces, but it all takes a toll and expends energy and resources. You need a week to regroup, recalibrate, find your own voice and opinions, and rest.
Sometimes other people are tiring! They foist expectations on you that are hard to shake off. The Hierophant shows you’re involved in lots of things, which is great. But you can’t pour from an empty jug – you need to recharge.
