Congratulations are in order for one X Factor star, who has become a dad for the first time!
David Heath, who was a member of Liverpool-based band Eton Road, has welcomed a child with his partner of 17 years via surrogacy.
The 37-year-old was inundated with messages of congratulations after revealing his happy news, with fellow contestants keen to express their joy.
Sharing the sweetest video with One Direction’s Little Things playing in the background, David and his partner Samuel Paul lifted their hands to reveal a tiny newborn lying in a cot underneath.
Revealing their tot’s name, they wrote on social media: ‘Jude Arblaster Heath.

‘You’re everything and more we could have dreamed of.’
The comments section was flooded with sweet messages, with Marcus Collins – runner up to Little Mix in 2011 – writing: ‘Congratulations guys ❤️’
David and Samuel have documented their whole journey to fatherhood on their joint Instagram page, Scouse Dads.
They announced that they were expecting via a surrogate back in January, sharing the sweetest video montage with the caption: ‘Your Daddies can’t wait to finally meet you 👶🏼’
Then in March, they had a reveal party where they discovered that ‘baby Heath’ would be a boy.
David and Samuel have posted plenty of photos with their surrogate Sarah, writing in February that she had ‘changed their lives forever’.

‘When we least expected it Sarah asked to be our surrogate and we’ve been on this journey together for the last 14 months 🙏🏽 … and what a journey 🥹👶🏼’, they penned.
Eton Road were a four-member pop group consisting also of members Anthony Hannah, Danny Morris, and Jay Edwards.
They were mentored by Louis Walsh in series 3 of The X Factor and were eliminated from the competition in week 7, finishing in fifth place after losing the sing-off to Ben Mills.
Ultimately, the 2006 series was won by Leona Lewis.

Since their X Factor days, many contestants have gone on to have babies of their own, including winner Leona, who shares a daughter with her husband Dennis Jauch.
Most recently, 2010 semi-finalist Cher Lloyd also announced that she is pregnant with baby number two, having given birth to a baby girl in 2018.
