It’s been over a decade since he first hit our screens and now X Factor legend Wagner Carrilho is back with a whole new look.
In 2010 the Brazilian singer, who was living in the West Midlands at the time, auditioned for the reality singing show with an unforgettable rendition of ‘O sole mio.
While he didn’t make it through at first, he was given a lifeline and later joined the Over 28s category mentored by Louis Walsh.
He picked up plenty of fans for combining classic songs like She Bangs and Love Shack and made it all the way to the quarter finals until he was ultimately sent home.
While we’ve had some updates from him over the years, he’s now living back in Brazil and has had an unexpected career change as he explained during an appearance on This Morning on Friday.
Although Wagner always had long tresses, his new look now involves a bushy dark beard with long blond locks.
Keen to speak about what had sparked the change in appearance, he said a visit to a hair transplant business inspired him to mix things up.

As host Dermot O’Leary explained, Wagner had undergone two hair transplants in recent times.
‘I became very good friends with a hair clinic owner, and he offered to open a clinic in the northeast of Brazil where I was born,’ the performer then continued.
‘He’s from Iceland and has 40 clinics around the world in places like Nigeria, America, Dubai also around Brazil in Rio and Sao Paulo and Brasilia.
‘He asked if I wanted to open one and I say “yes yes”.’

Recalling how he found himself needing to find a new job during the pandemic, Wagner said he wanted a business that would ‘work for me’.
As Dermot added, Wagner was the perfect ‘walking advert’ for his new business venture.
Reflecting on his time on X Factor during the appearance, Wagner described it as the ‘biggest party I have ever been at’.
‘I loved every second of it and everyone was great,’ he said.
‘I was never worried about being sent home because I was living in the moment.’
While Dermot and co-host Alison Hammond wished him a happy birthday during the show too, Wagner revealed a pretty funny personal story.
‘My actual birthday was yesterday,’ he explained.
‘My dad was born on the 24th of February and so he told registry office at the time I was too because he wanted us to have the same birthday…but my birthday is actually the 23rd.’

Since appearing on X Factor Wagner hasn’t been on our screens much, but made a surprising admission in 2022 when revealing he had been approached to go on Channel 4’s risqué dating show Naked Attraction.
However, he said he would ‘never go there’.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV1.
