Isla Dawn made an impact on NXT this week as she cost Alba Fyre a chance at the Women’s Championship.
The WWE superstar – who featured heavily on NXT UK before it was closed ahead of the planned 2023 relaunch as NXT Europe – made her debut for the company’s US developmental brand and sprayed mist into the eyes of her fellow Scottish wrestler.
Fyre was battling Mandy Rose in a brutal Last Woman Standing Match for the NXT Women’s Title, and found herself on top of a ladder as she looked to finally put her opponent away.
However, Isla appeared alongside her, spraying her in the eyes and then shoving her off the ladder and through the announce table as the stunned crowd looked on.
Although it’s her first TV appearance for the main NXT brand, Isla recently faced Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s daughter Ava Raine in an untelevised bout.
Her WWE career to date has consisted of appearances on NXT UK, where she shared the ring with Alba a number of times when the latter was working under the name Kay Lee Ray.

Alba beat her on three occasions in singles action in 2019 and 2020, while they teamed up together last year in a losing effort against Emilia McKenzie & Meiko Satomura.
Now, the pair – who also faced each other on an independent show in Glasgow in 2016 – are set to reignite their rivalry on a bigger scale, with Alba sure to want revenge on Isla.
Meanwhile, Isla previously opened up on her pride at joining top Scottish stars like Drew McIntyre and Nikki Cross in WWE.
‘There was a theory at one point where it was like, they’ve got one Scottish person, they don’t need another, that fills the role,’ she exclusively told Metro.co.uk. ‘You did kinda go, was Drew the anomaly, the one in a million, the only one that’s gonna get that?
‘But now there’s so many Scottish people, it feels really good – I hope I can be included in that, to be an inspiration for the Scottish scene coming up.’
WWE NXT airs Tuesday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
