Kevin Nash has urged fans to ‘take a breath’ after concern over comments he made about his grief following his son’s tragic death.
The WWE Hall of Famer has addressed reports police made contact with him for a wellness check after he mentioned it had been 12 weeks since his son Tristen died after suffering a seizure which led to cardiac arrest.
‘Everyone take a breath. Let’s not take my biggest coping mechanism SARCASM and blow it out of proportion. I appreciate the concern and the fact that others find it a perfect time for insults,’ he tweeted.
He added: ‘I’ve got legs to train today’.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, which he co-hosted with his son before his death, Nash had said earlier this week: ‘Time flies when you got a gun in your mouth. I mean, time flies when you’re having fun.
His co-host Sean Oliver interjected: ‘Don’t play like that. You have guns, so you can’t say those things,’ but the 63-year-old star replied: ‘I can do whatever the f**k I want to do. Long as I leave a note.’

He continued: ‘Every morning when I wake up, the first thing that happens is I come to the realisation that instead of there being three human beings in my home, there’s now two.
‘And the third person isn’t on vacation or staying with friends or is out late. He is never coming back. And then I sit up in the bed and I have absolutely nothing I have to do, and it’s like, “So, why am I getting out of bed?” ‘

Fans were concerned for Nash’s wellbeing after a video of his comments circulated on social media, and TMZ later reported that Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies had seen with the retired wrestler.
The outlet added that he was ‘doing okay’ and had ‘no intention’ of acting on his comments, and the former world champion has since taken to Twitter to address the situation.
Meanwhile, this week Nash revealed he had received a trophy from YouTube after Kliq This reached 100,000 subscribers, which he was targeting in memory of his son.
He wrote: ‘Again to everyone that made this possible by subscribing to our “Kliq This” podcast my thanks. I wish he was here to see it in person. Sure he’s got a huge s**t eating grin on his face right now.
‘Congratulations Tristen you pushed me and said we could do this. To our team my thanks and love.’
