Parkland shooting: Gunman who killed 17 people in horror high school massacre pleads guilty
The Daily Mirror says a gunman who killed 17 people in a horrific high school massacre has pleaded guilty today.
Nikolas Cruz, 23, appeared in court three years after he stormed the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and opened fire.
He wore glasses, a face mask, a blue shirt, and a black jumper at the hearing.
He began entering guilty pleas to 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder in the Valentine’s Day attack.
After the pleas were entered, Cruz removed his face mask and apologised to the victims of the shooting saying he is “sorry” and that he has to live with “nightmares” every day.
