A woman who has repeatedly gone into storm drains was rescued for a third time in less than two years.
Police and firefighters in Delray Beach, Florida, responded to a report of a woman swimming in a canal by the 500 block of Lindell Boulevard around midday on January 18.
The woman, identified as Lyndsey Jane Kennedy, ignored officers when they asked if they could help her, and instead went down a storm drain pipe.
Kennedy did not listen to pleas for her to come out of the pipe and instead went further inside.

Firefighters managed to confine Kennedy to two sections of the culvert pipe. A fire rescue operations team then used a ladder and harness to bring her out.
Kennedy sustained minor injuries during the ordeal and received treatment at the scene. She was then taken to a hospital for evaluation.
It was the latest such escapade by the Kennedy.
In March 2021, Kennedy, 43 years old at the time, disappeared for three weeks, during which she wandered a sewer system in Delray Beach. Kennedy apparently went swimming near her boyfriend’s house and became curious, and walked through the tunnels until she got lost. Firefighters rescued her from a storm drain.

Kennedy’s friends said they dropped food and Gatorade down manholes for her to eat and survive off of.
And in May 2021, Kennedy vanished for a few days. She was found safe and transported to a local hospital, according to the Grand Prairie Police Department in Texas.
Kennedy’s mother, Jane, previously said that her daughter had mental health issues including psychosis and PTSD from an abusive relationship. She was in Texas for rehabilitation.
