HBO on Sunday night shared the first footage of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’.
With the final season of Game of Thrones that is due to hit our television screens in April this year, star Kit Harrington has revealed that the gruelling filming schedule of the final season felt it was “designed to break” the cast.
In a new promo for HBO’s 2019 seasons, we are shown Sansa Stark’s first meeting with Daenerys Targaryen, who arrives in Winterfell with Jon Snow.
“Winterfell is yours, your grace,” says Sansa. But social media has taken this as a ruse by HBO and speculation has already emerged that the Sansa and the Dragon Queen clash.
The global phenomenon has made the audience wait longer than normal for the final season, and is shorter than the usual ten episodes per season. However, HBO has confirmed that the episodes will be longer and faster moving than the previous ones.
The series is HBO’s biggest hit ever with some 30 million viewers in the US alone and an army of devoted fans worldwide.

Consisting of six episodes, the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premieres this April.
HBO this week has also announced the cast for its upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series.
Titled The Long Night, the prequel will chronicle “the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour,” and look at the secrets of the history of the warring families in the fictional kingdom of Westeros.
