This Morning is taking a break today, Thursday July 20th, as viewers may spot a gap in ITV’s daytime scheduling.
While Lorraine is set to air as usual, with a slightly extended show, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, nor the Loose Women will appear on our screens.
This comes as the likes of Alison and Dermot step in to fill Holly Willoughby, who is on her summer break.
Recent weeks have seen Holly joined by Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle, after Phillip Schofield resigned from the programme amid rumours their relationship was cooling and they were ‘barely speaking’.
Days later, he resigned from all ITV projects in full after his bombshell confession of an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger employee.
Since then, his permanent replacement has not been confirmed, though members of the ITV team have been stepping in to host.

Why is This Morning not on today?
But instead of taking to our screens today, the FIFA Women’s World Cup is airing on ITV1 between 10.15am and 1.30pm.
Big Brother’s Alison, 48, and former X Factor host Dermot, announced on Wednesday’s show: ‘We’re back with you on Friday, because tomorrow is the Women’s Football World Cup on ITV1.’
‘See you Friday!’ they waved.
Elsewhere, BBC Breakfast’s coverage was moved over to BBC Two as the World Cup coverage began, with Morning Live cancelled for the day.

When does This Morning return?
As Alison and Dermot confirmed, This Morning will be back on our screens on Friday, though there’ll be more scheduling changes next week.
On Monday, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women have all been cancelled for World Cup coverage, while a shorter edition of This Morning and Loose Women will run on Tuesday.
This Morning airs 10am on Friday on ITV1.
