England have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup 2022 following a comfortable win over Senegal in the round of 16.
The Three Lions are now gearing up for a blockbuster showdown with France on Saturday, December 10.
Gareth Southgate and the players won’t be getting ahead of themselves- but that doesn’t mean that fans can’t look ahead to their next game if England get the better of our friends from across the channel.

Who could England play in the semi-final?
If England beat France, they would play one of Morocco, Spain, Portugal or Switzerland in the semi-final.
Morocco play Spain in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, November 6 at 3pm.

Meanwhile, Portugal face Switzerland later in the day at 7pm.
The two winners from the round of 16 games will then play each other in the quarter-final on Saturday, December 10 at 3pm, with the victor progressing to take on England or France in the semi-final.
When would England play in the semi-final?
In the event that Gareth Southgate’s men overcome the French, England would play in the semi-final on Wednesday, December 14 at 7pm GMT.
The match would be held at the 69,000 capacity Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor, which hosted England’s draw with the USA in the group stage and the round of 16 win over Senegal.
The stadium will also be the venue for England vs France this weekend.

What TV channel would England’s semi-final game be on?
The TV channel for the game has not yet been announced.
However, it is almost certain that the game would be shown on the BBC, who have the first pick of the two semi-finals over ITV.
In the event that the game is indeed shown on the BBC, a livestream of the clash would also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
