Music legend Tina Turner has died at the age of 83, following a long illness.
Announcing her death, her publicist told PA in a statement: ‘Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock’n Roll” has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
‘With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.’
Tina is best known for her string of iconic hits, including The Best and Proud Mary.
But what about her family life? Here’s all you need to know about Tina’s four children.
Who are Tina Turner’s four children?
Tina Turner has two biological children and two adopted children.
She had her first child in 1958 when she was 18 years old, a boy named Raymond Craig, with Kings of Rhythm saxophonist, Raymond Hill.
Her second child Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Renelle Turner was born on October 27, 1960 and his father was Tina’s first husband Ike Turner.
Tina also adopted two of Ike Turner’s children, Ike Turner Jr and Michael Turner.
Ike adopted Tina’s first son Raymond Craig, and changed his name to Craig Raymond Turner.
Throughout his adult life, Craig worked as a real estate agent in Beverley Hills California.

In July 2018, it was reported that Craig had died, aged 59, in an apparent suicide.
Following his death, Tina told CBS: ‘I think Craig was lonely, that’s what I think really got him more than anything else.
‘I have pictures all around of him smiling, and I think I’m sensing that he’s in a good place. I really do.’
Tina’s second son, Ronnie, played bass guitar in a band called Manufactured Funk.
He also played for both Ike and Tina’s bands.
Ronnie was married to French singer Afida Turner, and had two children.
He died after suffering with colon cancer in December 2022, aged 62.
After his death, Tina wrote on her Instagram: ‘Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.’
Ike Jr worked as a sound engineer at Bolic Sound, and briefly for Tina after her divorce from his father in 1978.
Little is known of Tina’s second adopted son Michael, as he has remained out of the spotlight.
In her 1986 autobiography, Tina wrote that she became ‘a little bit estranged’ from her sons, except Craig following her divorce.
However, in 1989, she told TV Weeks that she was ‘still there for the boys’.
The news of Turner’s death has been met with tributes from the likes of Mick Jagger, Gloria Gayner and Angela Bassett.
Her cause of death has not yet been shared.
