The nation observed a moment of silence earlier this week, in honour of Remembrance Day.
Also known as Armistice Day, we fall silent on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, to remember the time peace was officially declared between the warring nations during the First World War.
Our silence, and the wearing of poppies, honours the lives of those who fought for their country.
But, in addition to Armistice Day, each year there’s a special service carried out on the Sunday after, called Remembrance Sunday.
This will be the first Remembrance Sunday under the reign of King Charles III, who will be present at the event. How can you watch Remembrance Sunday?
What time are the Remembrance Sunday commemorations?
As it has been done for more than one hundred years, there will be a two-minute silence at 11am on Sunday.
This will be followed by the service and wreath laying as the nation remembers all those from the UK and the Commonwealth who died serving their country.

For the first time as Monarch, King Charles III will lead the nation in the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.
The King will be joined by members of the Royal Family, members across the Armed Forces, representatives for the Government and representatives of the Commonwealth and faith communities.
It’s reported that nearly 10,000 veterans will take part in The Royal British Legion March Past.
