Former President Donald Trump is moving forward with his plan to make a ‘special announcement’ on Tuesday that is expected to be the launch of his 2024 campaign.
Trump last week before the midterm elections said he would deliver a ‘very big announcement’ on November 15. There is no indication he has veered from that – despite being blamed for losses by several Republican candidates he supported.
The ex-president will make his announcement from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, at primetime.
More than 250 cameras have requested access to film the event starting at 9pm ET, according to Trump’s longtime adviser Jason Miller. That means Trump’s announcement will likely be live streamed by national broadcasters. C-SPAN, which televises federal government events, will stream the event here. A live stream is also below.

Trump confirmed last Thursday he would partake in a ‘special announcement’.
Miller on Friday told former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon that Trump ‘of course’ planned to run for office in 2024 and that he is ‘fired up’ about it.
‘President Trump is going to announce on Tuesday that he’s running for president,’ said Miller. ‘And it’s going to be a very professional, very buttoned-up announcement.’
More than 1,000 people are expected to be present at Mar-a-Lago, said Miller, adding that ‘all details are covered’.
‘They’re building additional risers to make sure that they have the overflow capacity,’ Miller said.
‘So people are wondering, “Hey, this is coming very quick.” These guys are pros, these guys are ready to go. I personally did the checklist with them this morning. That’s going to be fine.’
Some of Trump’s aides and allies have urged him to hold off on announcing until the midterms are decided, as well as after the Senate runoff election in Georgia on December 6.
New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Chris Sununu said Trump ‘stands to potentially muck up the opportunity for (Herschel) Walker to win in Georgia in his runoff’.
But Trump, who had hoped to gain momentum from GOP victories in the midterms, is eager to stave off potential challengers for the Republican nomination.
