Torrential downpours leave parts of London flooded overnight
The Metro says parts of London have been battered by torrential rain overnight, sparking transport misery ahead of the Tuesday morning commute.
Flooding has been blamed for the part suspension of one Tube line, severe delays on three more and minor delays on another.
Video footage shows part of Knightsbridge, in west London, underwater – with vehicles barely able to drive through.
The upmarket borough appears to have been particularly badly hit by the rain but it is unclear if any shops and businesses have been damaged.
