The Independent – Now it gets personal: Voters like and trust Keir more than Rishi 

The front page of The Independent leads on the upcoming general election. The paper’s exclusive reports that the general election is turning into a ‘presidential’ style contest between Sunak and Starmer and polling suggests the Labour leader will win easily with voters. 

Elsewhere, the front page features a large image of a boy standing amid the rubble yesterday after a deadly missile attack that killed mostly women and children. The paper says the Israeli missile attack on the refugee camp has been internationally condemned.

Israel fired missiles into Rafah tents after Hamas launched rockets deep into Israel, including towards Tel Aviv, the paper adds.
