Vicky Pattison has a new perspective on life these days and is no longer prioritising what she considers to be ‘vapid’ things such as luxurious holidays.
The former Geordie Shore star has been secretly volunteering at a soup kitchen to help families struggling financially amid the cost of living crisis.
It has pushed Vicky, 35, to reevaluate what she values as important in her own life and it’s no longer the plush lifestyle she once lived.
‘It’s always important to give whatever you can but especially now, with the cost of living crisis,’ she explained.
‘I’m incredibly grateful for my life and always will be. But when I’ve volunteered and you talk to people, you do realise how vapid some of my life has been.’
She added to The Sun: ‘Things like going to Dubai for New Year’s Eve just aren’t important any more.’

Vicky enjoys more of a low-key lifestyle these days and is hoping to become a mum after freezing her eggs.
She got engaged to longtime partner Ercan Ramadan earlier this year and penned a heartfelt message as they celebrated their fourth anniversary on Wednesday.
In an Instagram post, she said: ‘And after I spent what felt like eternity drowning.. You taught me how to breathe 🥹♥️
‘Happy Anniversary @ercan_ram ✨ I knew I loved you on our first date.. I remember sending this photo to me lasses group chat and telling them to buy a hat 😂 I knew even then what we had was going to be special ✨♥️
‘I can’t believe it’s been four years of loving you already… It’s absolutely flown over!
‘There is literally no one else in the world I would rather do life with and I know sometimes we get on each other’s tits but I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you travelling, eating good food, laughing with our family and friends, adopting more babies and trying to do our bit to make the world a little bit of a nicer place… ♥️.’
Vicky added: ‘What a year we’ve had aswell! Omg I feel so lucky to have found you Mr even if your feet are always sweaty and you’ve got terrible taste in telly 😂 I’m so excited to see what special memories we make next year with our fur babies by our side 😂😍🐶🐾.
‘And I can’t believe in a few days time I’ll be able to say- we get married next year Arghhhhhhh!!! Our next chapter will be our most exciting year.’
