The Guardian – Fears of US-Iran conflict intensify after troops killed in drone attack 

The Guardian reports that fears of a conflict between Washington and Tehran are growing after American troops were killed in a drone attack on a US base on the border of Syria and Jordan. The paper notes a direct conflict may be inevitable as the incidents “proliferate and escalate in impact”.

The front page leads with a large image of residents clutching flowers whilst attending a vigil for the two teens stabbed to death in Bristol.
