Ulrika Jonsson has thrown her support behind Christine McGuinness after the Real Housewives star said she would be giving her children chicken nuggets and chips on Christmas Day.
Christine shares Penelope and Leo, both nine, and Felicity, six, with ex Paddy McGuinness, with the whole family spending Christmas Day under the same roof despite the couple splitting in July.
Opening up on the festive traditions in their household, Christine, 34, recently revealed she’d be serving her children fast food in a bid to keep a normal routine to help with their autism.
‘I don’t think they should have to fit in with tradition or what everybody else has. I think your Christmas dinner should be whatever you’d like to eat and I want them to enjoy it,’ she told OK! Magazine.
‘If they want chicken nuggets and chips, then that’s what I’m going to give them.’
Mum-of-four Ulrika has praised Christine, saying reading about the TV personality’s plans brought her ‘great joy’ despite her own ‘military operation’.

The 55-year-old wrote in The Sun: ‘I like her approach and am wondering if she hasn’t got a point, maybe she’s got it right and I’m the fool.’
‘It’s Christmas Eve and while I’m a self-confessed Christmas nut, I feel defeated by the stress, doom and relentless gloom we’re being forced to endure this year.
‘Some of you will be working today, others will be forced to tolerate family members you’ve spent much of the year avoiding.
‘And, of course, many people will be alone, it’s such a conflicting time,’ Ulrika continued.

When talking about her Christmas plans and Paddy returning to the family home to celebrate, Christine added to OK!: ‘That’s what the children are used to.’
She added: ‘We don’t know what the future holds or how it’s going to be moving forward, but we’ll try to keep things as normal as possible.

‘I’m quite happy for him to be there with the children and it’s nice for them to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright. We can sit and have a cup of tea together and that’s fine.
‘I would never let the children be aware of anything other than us being happy and alright, because they’re so young and innocent.’
