Ukrainians told to charge everything as power grid hit
Ukraine’s national energy company has told citizens to “charge everything” by 07:00 local time Thursday because of expected power cuts caused by Russian missile strikes.
Energy plants were hit by Russian missiles on Wednesday – there has been a wave of strikes since 10 October.
It’s expected that there could be outages of up to four hours and will affect the who country.
Only yesterday, Russia declared martial law in the four areas of Ukriane it has annexed.
Ukrainians have been told to stock up on water and ensure they have “warm socks and blankets and hugs for family and friends.” Phones, power banks, torches and batteries need to be charged as well the energy company said.
