An eight-year-old girl who went viral after singing Let It Go from a Ukrainian bomb shelter was delighted to see the West End cast of Frozen join her on stage at the OVO Arena, Wembley.
Amelia Anisovych gained global attention at age seven when she was filmed singing the hit Disney song from a bomb shelter during Ukraine’s conflict with Russia.
After appearing since on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Lorraine with her mother, Lilia, following the viral moment, Amelia will now be part of The National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash.
As a surprise, she was joined on stage by Samantha Barks and Emily Lane, who play main characters Elsa and Anna in Frozen on the West End.
Dressed in an appropriately sparkly dress, Amelia gave another sweet and confident rendition of the Frozen anthem to the crows in her native Ukrainian.
After rapturous applause, Samantha and Emily strode onstage to join her in their costumes, leading Amelia to be visibly overcome by excitement.

The stars then joined her in the tune – singing the ‘Let it go’ refrain in Ukrainian – in front of an audience of 8,000.
They were later joined by other cast members from the London production for a suitably impressive finale to the song, leading to cheers and tears from the audience, including Amelia’s mum, who was watching from the wings.

The event, which will be broadcast on December 31, celebrates the moments that brought people together in 2022, showcasing ‘magical moments’ from the past year, as well as the extraordinary people and the difference they have made thanks to National Lottery funding.
Previously, the voice of Elsa from the Disney movie, Idina Menzel, reacted to the video of Amelia singing in the shelter in Ukraine, where the Russian invasion has been raging since March.
