GMB fans rejoice as Gary Neville ‘destroys’ Edwina Currie in Universal Credit row

The Daily Mirror says Good Morning Britain fans were quick to praise Gary Neville on Wednesday morning as he put Edwina Currie in her place.

The former footballer and the former politician appeared on the ITV breakfast show to discuss the Universal Credit cut, which comes into force today.

Neville was not impressed with Currie’s comments about the topic as she claimed people should be trying to get a job instead of relying on benefits.

“What we have to realise is we’ve got something like a million vacancies being advertised in this country,” she told hosts Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell.
