Dinner lady who won £1,700,000 in lottery is still living in a council house
The Metro says a lottery winner still lives in her family’s old council house and has kept her job as a dinner lady – despite scoring £1.7 million in 2003.
Trish Emson, 51, has stayed down-to-earth and says she’d be ‘bored to tears’ without her job serving up meals to primary school kids.
Rather than spending money on expensive cars and big houses, she owns a Kia and still shops in Primark.
While many dream of clinching the jackpot, she says her biggest prize came two weeks after her win – when she got pregnant after more than five years of trying.
