Covid booster jabs: Boris Johnson banking on third vaccine to stave off winter surge crisis in NHS
The i says ministers are to put their faith in the Covid-19 vaccine to prevent a fresh wave of infections this winter as Boris Johnson is poised to give the go-ahead to a booster programme on Tuesday.
Under his Autumn and Winter Covid Plan, the Prime Minister will spell out his proposals to keep coronavirus under control that will rely heavily on the strength of the Covid jab.
Mr Johnson is expected to give the thumbs up to booster jabs among older groups that will begin within the next fortnight in a move he believes will be enough to keep the disease at bay as autumn and winter hit.
