Farage calls for UK ambassador to be sacked over leaked Trump memos
Russian broadcaster, RT News reports on Nigel Farage’s’ demand for UK ambassador, Sir Kim Darroch’s, to be sacked. Farage openly criticised Darroch following leaked memos in which the ambassador called the Trump administration “inept” and “uniquely dysfunctional.”
Brexit Party leader Farage has said Darroch is “the wrong person to be ambassador”. Adding he is a “Globalist in outlook, totally opposed to the Trump doctrine.” President Trump previously gave public backing to his friend Farage for the UK ambassador job. The idea was shut down in 2016 by the Foreign Office and Downing Street.

Investigation launched into the leaking of UK ambassadors “scathing assessment” memo’s of Trump Administration
According to The Independent, the leaked memo’s were a “scathing assessment of the US government”. The memo’s questioned whether the Trump Administration “will ever look competent”.
It described the White House is “inept” and “uniquely dysfunctional”. Further comments made by the ambassador suggested if communicating with the President it was ideal to keep the “your points simple.”
An official investigation has now been launched by the UK Government into uncovering who was behind the leak. Although the breach is very serious, the Foreign Office has defended UK ambassador, Sir Kim Darroch’s comments as an “honest, unvarnished” assessment of US politics.

7/7: khan pays tribute on anniversary of London bombings
Sadiq Khan stood side by side with Police chiefs’ as he honoured the lives of the 52 victims of the 2005 terrorist attack, reports The Independent.
Leading the tributes on the 14th anniversary the London Major, laid a wreath in remembrance. He praised members of the public and emergency services who rushed to help the injured that day.
“Londoners showed resilience and unity in the face of huge adversity in 2005, and sadly our city has faced difficult times since then,” he said.

Chemical attack in Leicester injures ten people including Police Officers
Five people have been arrested following a chemical attack outside a Leicester pub on Sunday, reports The Guardian.
The attack left ten people, including three police officers taken to hospital after a mass brawl broke out. The substance believed to be ammonia was sprayed during the fight. All ten have been discharged from the hospital.
The five arrested in connection with the incident include four men and one woman ranging in age from 15 to 53.

No-deal Brexit: David Gauke will resign if next PM chases No deal
BBC News reports, Justice Secretary David Gauke ‘to resign’ if the next PM backs a no-deal Brexit. Mr Gauke suggested he would have already left the Cabinet when questioned whether he thought Boris would sack him.
He added: “Assuming that he wins, if Boris’s position is that he is going to require every member of the cabinet to sign up to being prepared to leave without a deal on 31st October, to be fair to him I can’t support that policy- so I would resign in advance.”
The deadline to leave is set for 31 October.
