Two bodies have been found after a fishing boat capsized off the coast of Jersey.
A major search was launched on Thursday when a trawler collided with a cargo ship and sent three people overboard.
The L’Ecume II disappeared in 40-metre deep water.
In a statement, Jersey Police said: ‘The search and recovery operation is ongoing and will continue while the weather permits.
‘Family members continue to be supported by specially trained Police Family Liaison Officers.
‘A further update will follow when available.’
Searches for the lost sailors will continue if the weather allows.
One of the missing men was named locally as Michael Michieli, the skipper of the Jersey-registered vessel.
The boat collided with the Commodore Goodwill, a 120m freight carrier with a tonnage of 11,166, at around 5.30am on Thursday.
Local fishing vessels volunteered to help with the search while specialist divers have also been involved.
