Train disruption on Sunday with reduced timetable in action

According to a post on their official website and social media, the significant disruption is expected due to “crew availability”.

As a result, the train operators are working on a reduced timetable, which will affect the following routes:

    london Paddington to South Wales

London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads

London Paddington to Devon and Cornwall

Local services to Exeter and Bristol are also expected to be impacted

Fewer trains will be running, and those that do are expected to be very busy. Some additional delays and cancellations may occur.

A spokesperson for GWR said: “Customers are advised to change their plans and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.”

Travellers are also advised to not travel to Bath Spa for the Christmas Market, with local buses and park and ride available from 9.30am to 6pm on Sunday.

GWR have said that journey planners will not accurately affect reflect changes until Sunday morning.

As a result of this disruption expected on Sunday, all tickets will be valid for Monday, December 16, or a full refund can be claimed on the website here.
