Tori Kelly has opened up about suffering a ‘scary few days’ after she was rushed to hospital in LA.
The Paper Hearts singer, 30, was admitted into the ICU on Sunday night following a dinner with friends, amid reports that doctors had found ‘blood clots’ in her legs and lungs.
On Wednesday, her husband, Andre Murillo, shared an update on Instagram, revealing that she had been feeling ‘stronger’ but wasn’t totally ‘out of the woods’.
In a new message on her own page, the Grammy-winner detailed her health scare, thanking those who had reached out.
‘As you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges,’ she began. ‘It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.
‘I’m feeling stronger now and hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover. I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who have been looking after me.’
Discussing the release of her upcoming self-titled EP, which was due to drop this week, Tori explained that her plans were still going ahead.
‘Of course I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,’ she continued.
‘Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years.
‘I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!’

She concluded the post: ‘I love you all so much and I am truly overwhelmed by all of the love and care I have received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’
The musician didn’t go into detail over exactly what her illness entailed, following reports that she was taken to hospital for blood clots.
Fans were quick to share their support in the comments below, urging the American Idol favorite to make a speedy recovery.

Tori was taken in for treatment on Sunday after joining friends for dinner in LA, where she ‘passed out’ for ‘a while’.
According to TMZ, her friends carried her outside the venue and took her to hospital, where she was placed in intensive care after doctors discovered clots in her legs and lungs.

The outlet reported that they were trying to determine whether she had any blood clots around her heart, with an insider describing the situation as ‘very serious’.
Addressing his wife’s health on social media this week, Andre added: ‘Tori is smiling again and feeling stronger.
‘Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun. Just waiting on a few more answers.
‘Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so much!’
